Practical answers to the questions people most often ask before booking. If your question is not here, you are welcome to get in touch.

If you need help now

If you are in crisis or worried about your safety, you do not have to wait for an appointment.

Do I need a referral to book an appointment?

No. You do not need a referral to see a clinical psychologist, and you can book your first appointment directly. A GP referral is only required if you would like to claim Medicare rebates under the Better Access scheme.

What are your fees and rebates?

The consultation fee is $310 per session, in line with the current Australian Psychological Society recommended schedule. A Medicare rebate of $145 per session is available for clients with a valid Mental Health Care Plan, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

What is your Medicare provider number?

The provider number is 5334263A. You will need it to claim your Medicare rebate.

Do you offer online appointments?

Yes. Telehealth sessions are available through a secure online platform. Once your appointment is confirmed, you receive a private email with a secure link and an access code.

How long are sessions?

A standard consultation runs for 50 to 60 minutes. Extended sessions can be arranged when clinically relevant.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please provide at least 48 hours notice for any cancellation. Late cancellations may incur a fee.

Do you see children?

Nadine works primarily with adults across the lifespan. If you are seeking support for a younger person, she is happy to discuss appropriate referrals and options.

Do you see clients from overseas or multicultural backgrounds?

Yes. Sessions are offered in English or French, whether you are in Australia, overseas or travelling. Nadine has lived across several countries and brings a genuine understanding of cultural and relational complexity.

Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

Yes. Nadine offers a safe, welcoming and affirming space for clients of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions.

What can therapy help me with?

Therapy can help with anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, relationships, emotional regulation, work stress, self-esteem and parenting concerns, among other things. If you are unsure whether therapy is right for your situation, you are welcome to ask.

What types of therapy do you offer?

Nadine draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy and psychodynamic ideas. The approach is tailored to your needs and goals rather than fixed in advance.

What is therapy with Nadine like?

Therapy is collaborative, thoughtful and paced according to what you need. Some sessions are reflective and exploratory; others focus on practical strategies and emotional processing. Throughout, the aim is a considered, unhurried space in which you feel understood.

Is therapy confidential?

Yes. What you share in the room stays in the room, with the few exceptions that the law and our professional code require, for example where there is a serious risk of harm to yourself or someone else. Nadine will always explain, in plain terms, where those limits sit.

Can you prescribe medication?

No. Unlike a General Practitioner or Psychiatrist, a clinical psychologist cannot prescribe medication. Where medication may be helpful, Nadine is glad to work alongside your GP or psychiatrist.

Can I bring my pet to the clinic?

Yes. Nadine loves animals and is glad to welcome your companion to a session.
